Community & Sustainability

Through its Blessing Box initiative, three Rotana properties collectively contribute 476 kg of donations, giving pre-loved belongings a second life while supporting community welfare.

Dubai, UAE, October 2026 — In collaboration with Malabes by Beit Al Khair Society, a UAE-based charitable organisation, Al Jaddaf Rotana Suite Hotel, Arabian Park Edge by Rotana and Park Apartments Edge by Rotana have collectively contributed 476 kg of donations through their Blessing Box initiative. Bringing together the spirit of generosity and environmental responsibility, the initiative encourages guests to give pre-loved belongings a second life, transforming everyday contributions into meaningful support for the wider community.

Introduced as part of the properties’ ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, the Blessing Box provides a dedicated collection point within the hotel premises where guests can donate pre-loved clothing, toys and books, alongside new, unused household items. The initiative particularly encourages long-stay guests to participate, offering a simple and convenient way to contribute to a worthy cause while embracing more mindful consumption habits.

Beyond its charitable impact, the Blessing Box initiative highlights how the hospitality industry can play an active role in promoting sustainable practices. By encouraging the reuse of everyday belongings and reducing unnecessary waste, the initiative demonstrates how small, thoughtful actions can create positive change beyond the traditional guest experience.

“At Al Jaddaf Rotana, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing exceptional hospitality to creating a positive impact on the communities around us. The Blessing Box reflects our commitment to making sustainability and social responsibility part of everyday experiences. What makes this initiative particularly meaningful is the participation of our guests, who have embraced the opportunity to give their belongings a second life. Through our collaboration with Beit Al Khair Society, we hope to continue fostering a culture of generosity, where even the smallest contribution can make a meaningful difference.”
