Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, 29 September 2026 — Marjan Hospitality is continuing to invest in the evolution of Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering, with major refurbishment programmes underway at Rixos Al Mairid and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, encompassing more than 600 rooms across both properties.

The announcement comes as the hospitality industry gathers in Dubai for Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) World, where Marjan is an official partner, underscoring its continued commitment to investing in the quality, depth and long-term evolution of Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering, and to meeting the expectations and aspirations of its tourists and residents.

At Rixos Al Mairid, all 323 rooms in the main building are being fully refurbished, with a scheduled reopening in December 2026. The refurbishment supports the property’s move towards a premium positioning, introducing a refined design direction, elevated furnishings, finishes and layouts that transform the guest experience while preserving its distinctive character.

At Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, all 300 rooms are being refurbished as part of a comprehensive enhancement, with the hotel scheduled to reopen in Q2 2027. The property will transition to an adults-only resort, creating a more focused guest experience.

The new design concept, Ocean Dusk & Dawn, draws inspiration from the changing light across the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscape of Al Marjan Island, bringing together the colours, textures and atmosphere of the coastline to create a renewed guest experience connected to its setting.

Investing in the Evolution of Ras Al Khaimah's Hospitality Offering

The refurbishment programmes form part of Marjan Hospitality’s wider approach to strengthening the calibre and depth of Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering. The continued investment comes at a time when Ras Al Khaimah is seeing significant momentum across its tourism and hospitality sector, including the development of Wynn Al Marjan Island. Together, these developments are contributing to the emirate’s ongoing transformation by offering a growing range of premium hospitality, lifestyle and leisure experiences.

“As Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering continues to evolve, we want our established properties to evolve alongside it. Our aim is to ensure each property has a clear identity, meets the expectations of today’s guests and contributes to the overall quality of the destination. With new developments raising the bar across the emirate, it is an exciting time to continue investing in what we already have while creating something stronger for future generations.”

— Alison Grinnell, Group COO of Marjan and CEO of Marjan Hospitality

These updates follow a series of developments across Marjan Hospitality’s portfolio, including the recent introduction of a new phase of accommodation at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, comprising 35 standalone private villas within the 1,235-acre protected Al Wadi Nature Reserve.
