MANE Explores the Scent of Light with PRISMATIC at Beautyworld Dubai
What does a colour smell like? And can a fragrance make an invisible sensation feel visible?
These are the questions behind PRISMATIC, the installation and fragrance collection that MANE will present at Beautyworld Dubai between 6 and 8 October, in collaboration with French architect and artist Emmanuelle Moureaux.
Founded in 1871, MANE is a family-owned fragrance and flavour house with a presence in 41 countries, whose perfumers combine expertise in ingredients, fragrance creation and technology to develop scents for brands around the world. MANE has been a regular presence at Beautyworld since 2019, presenting creative collaborations that explore fragrance beyond the bottle.
This Year's Theme: Light
PRISMATIC asks how something we see can be expressed through something we smell. Inspired by Emmanuelle’s use of colour and architecture, ten MANE perfumers from Paris, Dubai, New York, Milan and Shanghai each chose a source of light and created a fragrance around the memories and emotions it evoked. Together, the scents form a collection exploring the different ways light can be experienced.

The Artist: Emmanuelle Moureaux
Emmanuelle Moureaux is known for immersive installations that use layers of colour to transform a space. Her 100 colours series has included a work for BVLGARI in Tokyo celebrating the 75th anniversary of its Serpenti icon, as well as a 100 colours butterflies exhibition for Lancôme in Shanghai. With PRISMATIC, her approach meets fragrance — creating an experience that engages more than one sense.
